So. I’ve been attempting to winterize my living room as cheaply as possible, and with as little change so that my husband doesn’t notice and have a hernia.
So of course, I’m dreaming of switching out my chartreuse prints with a darker color scheme for the cooler weather, namely anything Anne Julie.
I LOVE love this gal. A fellow blogger who’s nice enough to translate her French musings for us, this girl is phenomenally talented.
These are my fave prints from Anne, but be sure to visit her Etsy shop for more FANTASTIC goods, all between $20 and $25!

I just got an email from the fabulous Sally over at Shim + Sons, telling me of the fantastic new additions to their shoppe! I’m oh so excited, and just in time for an office-supply-lovin’ gals’ bday. Shim + Sons has the BEST pencil cups, flat cards and paperclips in the WORLD.
It’s true.
And, in honor of the shoppe’s 6 MONTH ANNIVERSARY (has it really been that long???), Sally is offering FREE SHIPPING on any wall pockets or pin + pockets for a limited time only. Enter code ‘MAILING LIST SPECIAL’ in the comment section to receive your free shipping!
Thanks, Sally!

So, I’ve already decided where I’ll stay if I get a surprise-once-in-a-lifetime trip to Buenos Aires, and NOW I’ve decided where I’ll shop.
VZ, a spa/cosmetics shop in the heart of Buenos Aires, has just opened their newest location and the architecture/art direction and layout are fabulous. Complete with a pure white color scheme and translucent product shelves, the aura of the shop is spectacular. I’m told the products are as well, so if you find yourself in the area, be sure to pick up the coffee shower gel and rose spray home fragrance.

It’s no secret that the wishbone has been around for decades, starting with the ever-present and fabulous Wishbone Chair. But lately, wishbones have been turning up everywhere else, from paperweights to stocking stuffers and everywhere inbetween.
Here are some of my fave wishbone-inspired pieces:

wishbone bangle bracelet from pretty good goods, $32.
wishbone floor lamp from lamps plus, $159.91.

wishbone chair from danish-design, from $290.

wishbone twig necklace from honeybee’s etsy shop, $88.

bag of wishbones from rare device, $10.
Ok, update. I still have TWO openings for the Pay it Forward giveaway, and I refuse to let the cycle end with me! Here are the rules:
1. You comment on this post.
2. You receive a handmade gift from ME, maker of handmade gifts.
3. You post this message on YOUR blog and offer THREE more handmade gifts to the first three commenters.
4. Thus, the cycle continues and everyone has fun and beautiful crafts to display in their home.
Get it? Got it? Good.
COMMENT.

Another beauty from Design Hotels. The Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo Sul Canal Grande in Venice, Italy has a big name and even BIGGER reputation.
I’d love LOVE to stay here… if only for one night in Venice. Maybe they can build this beauty in Venice, CA and then I’m set!

I have another massive girl crush on Emily from The Black Apple. HUGE. I love her. And of course, I haven’t yet seen her new prints from October, so when I came across The Dunces, I knew they had to be mine.
Just adorable. I want these in my living room BIG time!
Thanks, Emily!

[Elvira, a handmade creation from Eddy and Edwina]
Ooooh, I’m so excited about this!!! Cozynest has so kindly offered to send me a handmade gift with the promise that I will ‘pay it forward’ and send three handmade gifts to someone else! So naturally, I agreed. I’m a total sucker for handmade gifts, and Cozynest has the BEST style.
However, when Eddy and Edwina agreed to run the same giveaway, I cheated and joined Karin’s PIF circle, too. Meaning I now owe SIX handmade gifts to others.
Is that even allowed? I don’t know, but I’m a sucker for Karin’s lovely creations, and hey, a girl makes mistakes.
So now, I solemnly swear to send a handmade gift to the first SIX commenters on this post, with the promise that they will pay it forward and post this same giveaway on their blog, offering three commenters a free handmade gift.
Make sense? Email me with questions, and let the gifts begin!!!
