long vowels.

I love this excerpt from the book ‘Seeing Sound’, by Thomas Chandler. The illustrations are from a whopping year of 1958 and created by Mary Gehr.

Love it, love it, love it. Poster re-creation, anyone?

  3. TOOOOOO funny! Pure coinsidence…my son just asked me to help him with a page in one of his activity books this week. And the book was ACTUALLY wrong. It had long & short vowels listed backwards…leaving me to think I was losing it! Needless to say, we got rid of THAT workbook!

  4. I want/love it! Besides, I missed phonics in school (that and diagramming sentences) so I could probably use it too! Just one of the reasons I chose Art over English.
