I wake up and yep, I’m the first one up. I’m a bit of an early bird and often find I’m the first awake.  I make myself a coffee and jump on the computer to check emails, blog, etc.

Everyone else is waking up and time to fight over who gets the bathroom first. We decide my brother can go first that way us girls can hog the mirror!

Have a quick breakfast of toast, then got to get going.

First stop is my sisters house, she hasn’t got a working car at the moment so I’m often helping her with getting pieces to galleries and picking work up. Today were dropping a work off at Gorker gallery. I love seeing the galleries behind the scenes, seeing how they bring a show together and the preparation that goes into it all.

We arrive at Gorker Gallery, from the outside you wouldn’t realise there is a gallery here, I love that about Melbourne. Some of the best places are hidden behind doors covered in graffiti. We go inside and Luke and Lauren the co-owners are putting the beer and wine into huge tubs of ice for the night, its a pretty hot day today so I hope the ice is going to last!!  They also have a huge feature wall with a massive paste up done by artist Eamo.

Now to drop Bec back home, she doesn’t have time to come to IKEA with us….stay for a chat and show and tell, haha. Bec is showing Noshin some of her drawings.

Driving to IKEA, Noshin my brothers girlfriend is Swedish so shes pretty excited about getting some of the Swedish lollies shes used to back home. I guess once your in another country it ends up being the little things you miss the most. For me it would be Vegemite,  Milo oh and summer barbecues!

Still in IKEA,  got $1 hotdogs and now deciding on which lollies to buy. I’ve never tried any of the Swedish lollies, I decide on some Daims, good choice!

Finally get out of IKEA, I swear they have designed that place to make it hard to escape! Now off to the Eureka tower, didn’t check if its open on Sundays, oops!.

Yep its open, get the elevator to the skydeck, there is 92 floors!! It’s the biggest tower in the southern hemisphere. Elevator ride makes me a little queezy, but its worth it, the view up the top is pretty amazing, I can see all the way to Brighton. (one of the south-east suburbs of Melbourne). Try to find my house..but no luck, hehe. We go out on the viewing deck, so windy up here, my hair is going everywhere! Aarrrggh!

Time to drive home and get ready for the exhibition, we take the scenic route via St Kilda and there’s lots of Kite boarders out. They look like a flock of birds there is so many!! Ah I’m so tired..I could do with a quick nap before the show.

Decide to sneak a little nap in before the show.

At the exhibition now, pretty awesome turnout. Have a look at all the other work, loving the MISO piece. Bec’s work is on a wall by itself, looks stunning!! I ask for a beer, but I’m a bit late and their out already. What?! But I saw so much beer in those tub this morning, out already!! Oh well I go with a white wine.

Getting hungry so my boy and I decide to go for a walk to Johnston street for some Thai food. I know of an awesome Thai restaurant where you get to sit on the ground on those cute Thai pillows and eat. But the cheat a little and have a hole cut in the ground to put your legs. I order some Pad Thai and satay chicken. Yum!!

Show’s all finished time to go home, my brother rings me to say hes going for some drinks at a bar nearby, Glen and I don’t feel like joining them, so we head home.
