    My favorite tea towel story (everyone should have one, really) is when my sister and I made aprons and headscarves out of tea towels and clomped around the house in authentic Dutch wooden shoes. We were 6 and 4, respectively, so we really thought we were quite the little Dutch milkmaids. I’ve long since outgrown the wooden shoes, but my fondness for tea towels remains.
