Caroline Gaedechens‘ drawings are like charcoal-covered pretzels. (Which I mean as a major compliment).
Also, how beautiful are her color schemes? Like a rainy day on the coral reef or something.
Also again, bears are the new owls. Quote me on that. Wings are so overrated.

A fascinating article from National Geographic circa 1969:
“Adults and children crowd a small public pool in Reykjavík to soak in natural hot water drawn from nearby springs. Although air temperatures range from the high 50′s in summer to below freezing in winter, the water remains around 85 degrees. Numerous outdoor pools operate year-round, doing a brisk business even in cold weather. Those who have taken the plunge say that few pastimes are more exhilarating than sitting in the warm bath when arctic winds are swirling about them.”
[Thanks, 100kr!]

Whoa. I’ve been having a really hard time picking my favorite piece from Heather Patterson‘s portfolio. Good Lord, this stuff is seriously lava.
And by lava, I mean hot.

First of all, how awesome is the name Fain Hancock? Holy crap. Seriously fantastic name.
Secondly, I’ve never really rooted for the color pink, but today, I’m sort of having a love affair with it.
Weird.

I’ve always been a massive fan of Aidan Koch‘s work, and recently fell head over heels for her Tumblr.
This gal has style (and an etsy shop, if you’re up for it).
Happy weekend!

Look at this fun Flickr photo! Man! I know what I want to do this weekend…

So poetic for a Friday, yes? Love this fine art photo from Mick Alister.

From Anja’s Flickr.
You love girl-on-couch day, don’t you?
I’ll keep that in mind. ;)

If florals are the new stripes, then sofas (or couches, as we I say in the Midwest) are definitely the new chairs.
Found this goodie on Dream and Awake’s Flickr (is it flickr day or what?), and just as a side note? If you’re a girl, Dream and Awake sells very, very pretty dresses.
Or, I suppose, if you’re not a girl. I don’t judge.

Valentina Vos takes pictures, and one of those pictures makes my girl-on-couch cut. It’s like Alice and Wonderland staying at her crazy Aunt Thelma’s house in Alaska.
Anyway, I spotted this image on Valentina’s flickr site, or you can visit her blog, because some of you are into that. The good news? There are quite a bit of hippies over on her blog, and they’ll kindly welcome you aboard.
I’m sure of it.
