Astronauts are soooo 2011. Loving “The White Cosmonaut” from Jeremy Geddes. Also check out “The Cafe.”

a calming bedroom…

I’ve gone back and forth about how I want to decorate the bedroom for months now, and with the recent development of exposed beams in our room (yay!), I’ve finally settled on something I truly love.

Want to see?

It’s gorgeous, right? I can’t find quite the right headboard for the look (on my budget, at least), so Husband and I are going to make it (and show you how!) once we move in. So, expect that… I don’t know. September?

Kidding. But sort of not. ;)

the pill lamp.

The Pil, designed by artist Tim Wigmore, isn’t yet available for production, but I’m already totally in love.

[thanks for the tip, jill!]

poketo’s suit totes.

My friends at POKETO have launched a new collaboration with environmentally-awesome nonprofit design brand Eco Party Mearry, and I’m loving the result. Aren’t these totes (recycled from vintage three-piece suits!) amazing?

Shop the collection right here.

scott hove’s cakeland.

Formed using rigid polyurethane foam and plywood, Scott Hove’s “Cakeland” installations are constructed of cardboard, plywood, and any found object that has a suitable form. They are frosted with a variety of acrylic media, using traditional cake decorating tools, and accessorized with fake fruit and other objects found in stores or on the street.

In other words, it’s a giant tease. A creepy (but awesome) tease.

But look! A cake chandelier? Yum.
