Currently at the Darren Knight Gallery in Aussie? Louise Weaver, who crochets birds, nature and the like.
Also, how awesome is it that Louise’s last name is Weaver and she crochets stuff? Ha. Sometimes this world is so cool.

File this under ‘Shops you’ll never be able to spend less than $75 in.’ You know, after Target and before A+R. Unless you file your shops alphabetically, and in that case… eh.
Anyway, Arrow to Arrow is a new shop (soft launched last week!) from Jess Fogel, and it’s full of yum artists. Enjoy!
[p.s. the piece above is from aidan koch, a DFM favorite!]
I’d say the room that has been hardest for me to decorate is the master suite. For the longest time, I’ve had my heart set on a giant free-standing clawfoot tub with a ruffled shower curtain and shaggy bath mat. Yet my husband? He wants a Finnish sauna. So the deal is, I get a big tub in the guest bathroom and he gets his sauna in our master suite.
Problem? I haaaate red-toned woods. I’ve never loved the color red, and the sauna will be cedar. Which has a bit of a red tinge to it. Which puts me in a bit of a crisis mode, because my color scheme can no longer be white, white and white.
And after searching my inspiration files for anything that would work with cedar, I came up sorely empty-handed. Until I stumbled on this beauty:

Gorgeous, no? Won’t my Purist lav sink from Kohler look simply marvelous in the space?
And I so badly want a barn door. (Plus, chars in bathrooms are the new trend if you’ve got the room. Trust me.) So…. I’m smitten. Look for something very, very similar when the big reveal comes.
Eventually. ;)

Alyce Santoro and Julio Cesar crafted a limited edition necktie woven from recorded audio cassette tapes and colored thread.
Best part? The fabric is 100% audible if you run a tape head over it. Genius!
[thanks for the tip, lost at e minor!]

Happy Friday, readers! I have some big plans this weekend, starting with a bit of film/cam action for a new project I’m working on (I’ll tell you more Wednesday!). Also, tomorrow is my nephew’s birthday party (Happy 2nd, Lukey!), so I’ll be road tripping for a visit.
Sunday? I’d like to have a sit and work on my resolution chart from dear Gretchen (if you don’t know what a resolution chart is, read up on it). Perhaps with a cup of tea (sans spoon biscuit, sadly) and some daily pancakes?
Of course, I’ll be cheering on my friend Jeff for his Small Victories Hong Kong exhibit and contemplating the coolness of Ula Einstein, all while pining over this Bakunawa print at The Few Gallery.
Until Monday, dears! Have a lovely weekend.

Husband, can I please have a swing in our kitchen?

I’ve been a longtime fan of Gina Osterloh and totally want a room like this in my new house. Yay, installation!
