The heat index today was like 149 or something ridiculous, so cut-offs were the only sane option. I could’ve done without my favorite black wedges, but then I wouldn’t appear super tough at the gas station. And really, if you can’t intimidate a few bikers, why get dressed?

My tank is from Libby Story and is perfectly float-atious. At this point, I’m just totally confusing those dang bikers.

Love color but can’t decide on a permanent solution? I love this idea of displaying empty paint buckets to form a unique color palette that’s as affordable as it is inspiring.
Happy decorating!

Ken and I enjoyed an Izze picnic on our front lawn today and played with all the dogs that passed by. It’s officially summer, friends! I am sooooo ready.
So here’s the deal: these are true boyfriend jeans. The secret to boyfriend jeans (for me, at least) is to shop in the boy’s department. None of this faux boyfriend action. True, authentic man pants will do the trick.

My top is another Libby Story find ($44) and the pattern reminds me of my grandmother’s tablecloth. In other words? Love.

I used to want to be a zookeeper growing up, until I realized that zookeepers had to keep the zoo and not pet it. Naturally, my fascination with animals has stuck with me and I’m thrilled to introduce a fun new series around here: Animal Instincts. Today, I’m rounding up products that are inspired by elephants — not necessarily directly, but if you squint your eyes and look to the left a bit, you might see what I mean…
