My friend Jess and I went shopping in Indy the other day, and I have this thing where I dress up to go shopping. I don’t know what it is, but it’s like I feel… disrespectful or something when I walk into a store without proper attire.*

So anyway, I decorated my blazer with copious amounts of brooches and called it a day.

(I took that picture above. I’m getting better, yes?)
*Except for Target. Target loves me for who I am, and sometimes I wear sweatpants there. It’s complicated.

Oh, I need these in my life. ($8) (thanks, erin!)
BTW — do you guys call them cray-ons or crowns? Have we had this convo yet? I can’t remember.
Go.

p.s. Although I realize the correct pronunciation is “cray-ons”, I still call them crowns. It’s one of my biggest flaws. Trust me, I’m just as disappointed as you are.

Mint green was my favorite color as a kid, and I still love how it feels both retro and modern at the same time. Here are a few of my favorite mint green picks, from radios to rompers!:
1. Petiole Romper ($250) at Steven Alan
2. Latte Bowls ($20) at Anthropologie
3. Not Too Coy Mint Green Wedges ($62) at Zappos
4. Roberts Revival Mint Radio (£144) at Dixon’s
5. Simple 7 Mint Green Beach Cruiser ($300) at Giant
6. Areaware Pig Bank ($95) at Matthew Izzo
7. Mint Green Metal Canisters ($17 – $30) at Pier1 Imports
8. Recycled Glass Wine Bottle Vase ($7 – $12) at West Elm

The real question is — why would you not want to swipe this up? ($12)

Happy Saturday! I’m checking in to share my outfit because I’m completely impressed that I managed to decorate myself on a weekend. Husband and I garage saled today and came home empty-handed. Total record, as we are diggers, us two.

p.s. Those bamboo shades? In love. Bon Look sent them to me, and I am now recommending them all over the place. Go forth and shop.
Enjoy your weekend, friends — see you Monday!

Although you really should be out gallivanting in this beautiful weather, if you choose to stay inside, I won’t judge. Here are a few links to keep you busy this weekend…
1. University student Zathew Zheng’s graduate collection debuted at London Fashion Week — gasp! This girl has promise.
2. Brooklyn-based designer Rachel Rose’s hand-painted silk tops are perfect for a charming night on the town. (via Inattendu)
3. Gala’s summer essential list has me reeling for an ice cream cone, sunblock and some serious color.
4. Clare Shields’ patterned bugs are just the ticket to cure my arachnophobia.
5. This Rubik Credenza is aspirational in price, but inspirational in looks. A DIY, perhaps? (Great job, Ricardo!)
6. Allister Lee and the world’s largest black marker collection.
See you Monday!
(p.s. My Portland workshop deadline is TODAY, so if you’re interested, sign up in a jiff! See you there!)
