Design For Mankind

a spoon tray.

There’s something so cool about serving your crumpets on a spoon tray ($43).

And yet, I suppose, something so not cool about calling them crumpets.

Eh. You win some.

I’ll admit — I almost bought 90% of this shop because of the quirky photographs.

acrylic sculptures.

Did you catch these geometrically awesome acrylic sculptures from Norman Mercer? Whoa, my heart is beating super fast.

(I’m not telling you how much they cost, b/c then your heart will beat super fast, too. And we’ll fly away or something.)

MYkind: today’s outfit.

I think my entire outfit was purchased at Target at some point. Except for the tote and the shoes, which you’ll see closer in a bit. Anyway, I spent the weekend down south with my family and this photo was taken after a gluttonous lunch at the local Chinese buffet. I dined with my grandparents and I took a snapshot of my grandmother, who is rocking my favorite ensemble: patterned dress and black blazer. Smart girl.

The canvas bag was picked up a few years ago from One & The Same — back before Etsy was famous for totes. And “totes.” Ha. Hipster humor, there.

And these shoes are my all-time faves. I wear them with e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. Hidden wedges are the secret of life.

sponsored post: hd expo!

If you’re headed to Vegas this weekend, stop in at the HD Expo Conference: your source for the newest and most inspiring hospitality products. My advice? Don’t miss the IIDA product competition and awards gala — it’s the perfect opportunity to wear that new satin number you scored on clearance.

Happy Vegas-ing!
