It’s been like, eons, since I’ve posted a renovation update. Between moving and nesting and celebrating, I’ve been lax with taking photos and documenting our progress.
So, in an effort to keep you informed, I’ve created a little page of all of the progress we’ve made since we started. There are quite a few holes in my story where I was much too stressed out to document (i.e. moving beams in our attic, leveling floors, moving bathrooms and changing the floor plan entirely — and the list goes on!), but the bulk of the big changes are there.
Enjoy!

What. You don’t have a knit cocoon in your closet? Shameful.

As a lover of all things house-shaped, I am in need.

I wore this to lunch with Ken’s 88-year-old grandmother at her favorite hot dog stand and although I was very much overdressed, we had a wonderful time. The horse-patterned dress is a tad short, so I like to layer it with a silk zipper dress (unzipped) over it for some length. That way, I can bend over to clean up the mustard I squirt on my shoes.
Also, root beer. Can’t take me anywhere.

Gracious, this is a gorgeous piece.

I spent a few minutes this morning watching a Vice magazine video about London artist collective THIS IS IT. Totally inspiring, completely creative.
Cut to 3:32 for an inspiring moment of celebration.
Makes you want to go make something, yes?

I haven’t created an art pairing in awhile. Man, I’ve missed this.

This one is George’s favorites. Clearly, he’s thrilled. (Also, I’m aware I’m holding him like a toddler. He loves it; I promise.)
I wore this to the E.R., where the doctor informed me that I couldn’t hear out of my right ear because there is a hole in my ear drum. Which is fantastic news.
No, really. It’s great news. This means when Ken asks me to do the laundry, I can say “What?” until he eventually tires of repeating himself and he breaks out the detergent on his own.
Best curse ever.

Sometimes all you need in life is a bunny suit and some triangles. Also? Striped shirts help.

Gracious, the things people do with oil and cardboard.
