Shadows

I’m winding down my work schedule for the year, and amidst a flurry of last-minute deadlines and scheduled projects, a reminder arose from the very unlikely place of an at-home photo shoot:

She’s watching me. She’s watching us. At the grocery store, at the post office, at home while taking photos of a hat and thermal shirt. We are shaping her, our words and reactions and behavior providing the wheel at which her clay spins. And although this shot is the one we ended up with…
