MYkind: today’s outfit.

Hello, conference attire. Let’s do this.

[Blouse: Libby Story, Romper: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Simply Vera at Kohl's, Vintage Cameo Necklace: Flea Market Find, Turban: Target]

I’ve been in San Fran attending conferences and teaching classes nonstop. And because I’m here for eight days with just a carry-on, monochromatic is the name of the game.

Black, white, solids, patterns. Done. Also, hello! I miss you.

MYkind: ombre diy.

Dudes. Did you realize you could create an ombre dye technique with Sharpies and rubbing alcohol? No joke. For the launch of Kirtsy.com, I joined a few fellow crafters in creating Sunday afternoon craft projects (coordinated by Blogstars) that are as easy as they are awesome. Mine’s above!

p.s. Giggle.com helped make it all happen and is offering $10 off your first purchase at Giggle Daily Deals!

MYkind: a bhldn party.

Last week, I flew to NYC to attend a press preview for BHLDN’s new fall line, and today was pleased to find a time lapse video of the entire night in my inbox!

It was a lovely event indeed, and the collection is gorgeous. Thanks, BHLDN!

MYkind: today’s photo(s!).

Summer is here and it’s officially bike season. I’ve been riding my trusty beach cruiser (in mint green!) for nearly four years now, but Ken has never been so lucky.

Until Public Bikes offered him his very own bike to try a few weeks ago. It arrived in tip-top shape and is the cutest thing in the entire world.

Seriously. I think I fell in love with this dude all over again. Thanks, Public!

Happy fourth, friends! See you tomorrow.

MYkind: today’s outfit.

Oh look! More cobalt blue! In love. This is my smart outfit, which is what I wear when I have a client meeting. That’s a trick sentence there, because you see? I don’t meet clients in person. I live in the middle of nowhere and engage in phone meetings only. It’s lovely, because I don’t even have to brush my teeth to make money.

But. Here’s the deal. When I have on my smart outfit (a blazer is always a smart outfit, fyi), I feel wayyyy smarter than I truly am. So even the phone meetings require a full get-up. That way, I bring my A game.

You love those shoes, don’t you? Me, too.

Alternatively titled: Clearly, I do not iron. This is what I wear when it’s scorching hot outside and I want to look like I’m not sweaty. Scarves are perfect for hiding the beady drops, and silk tanks / shorts feel like I’m wearing nothing at all. Always a bonus.

See you Thursday with a lovely ensemble.

MYkind: today’s outfit.

Happy Wednesday! I’m in Portland, and you guys — this place is full of awesome. Just FYI. And now we turn the convo toward the vain and mundane: outfits!

This is what I wear when I want to people to stop me and say, “Oh my gosh; blue is your color!” And then I thank them and earn three self esteem points.

I made these wedges myself (just a scarf woven through Target wedges!), and because I’m the least crafty gal ever, they fell apart while I was dancing. So, you have one half finished shoe, and another… something else.

See you Monday with a super chic get-up!

I’m still in Portland, and I’m still completely fascinated. A shop in a bus? Yes.

MYkind: today’s photo.

I’ll be checking in daily with Instagram photos from my Portland trip this week. Here’s today’s shot of the Powell Book’s exit. (I loved this bookstore!)
