I love the juxtaposition of quaint animals and high fashion in Yann Gross’ recent shoot featured in Blink Magazine. And for the record, I totally want that llama-looking-thing (alpaca?) to live in my bathtub.

1. Oeuvre is a blog from Japan with images, stylings, and textiles so addictive, you’ll want to view it all in one sitting. But I recommend savoring it slowly.
2. I so love the mix of cheery brights and light-drenched pale tones, the family warmth and bold 70′s decor on the Swedish Krickelin. And goodness, I love how she pairs adventuresome prints with comfy clogs.
Happy Thursday to you all, and I’ll see you again in two short weeks.
This week on MakeKind, we’re crafting a DIY version of milk glass!:
MATERIALS // tacky glue, flat back plastic beads (found in the floral section of most craft stores), glass vase, white spray paint (not shown)
STEPS // 01 GLUE BEADS Glue a row of beads around the top of the vase, making them evenly spaced.
02 FINISH GLUING BEADS Continue gluing the beads in rows. Allow the glue to dry completely before moving on.
03 PAINT VASE Using spray paint suitable for glass, spray the vase with an even coat and allow to dry.
And there you have it; your own milk glass vase. Fill with flowers and enjoy!
Oh, dip dye… how quickly you transformed my $5 stool into a work of art. Want to get the look? I’ve got a tutorial over on HGTV.com today (along with a few of my favorite dip dye inspiration) – enjoy!
My formula for a perfect office nook? Raw wood, white walls, quirky large-scale art, a monochromatic calendar and a clean surface to fill with loads of ideas. Perfection!

p.s. Speaking of offices, I’ll be in mine today from 3-3:30PM ET co-hosting a Twitter chat with America’s Next Top Model photographer & judge Nigel Barker! We’ll be talking about great design in the auto world as the all-new 2013 Nissan Altima is unveiled today at the NY International Auto Show. Join Nigel all day @NissanNews and me at @erinloechner - and don’t forget to use hashtag #Altima2013! [sponsored]
Perfectly campy and utilitarian-inspired, this duo was made for each other indeed.

Juxtaposition is back! Sometimes photos were separated at birth, so it’s time to re-connect them, yes?
