Color Mankind is a weekly guest series from Lauren Willhite.

I wore this to lunch with Ken’s 88-year-old grandmother at her favorite hot dog stand and although I was very much overdressed, we had a wonderful time. The horse-patterned dress is a tad short, so I like to layer it with a silk zipper dress (unzipped) over it for some length. That way, I can bend over to clean up the mustard I squirt on my shoes.

Also, root beer. Can’t take me anywhere.

I’m collaborating with 2Modern on something fun and can’t stop thinking about this ThomasPaul thoroughbred throw, loomed in Peru. ($350)

Would look so lovely on my Chesterfield sofa!
