Mauro creates paintings by filling balloons with paint, then popping them on an adjacent canvas. The result is a stunning abstract.

Aili’s recent installation ‘Striped Hilltop‘ has me reeling. Man, I love this artist.

Angel Otero’s recent exhibition at Kavi Gupta Gallery looks incredibly gorgeous. I love ‘Portrait of Grandma’s Table.’ Simply beautiful.

Formed using rigid polyurethane foam and plywood, Scott Hove’s “Cakeland” installations are constructed of cardboard, plywood, and any found object that has a suitable form. They are frosted with a variety of acrylic media, using traditional cake decorating tools, and accessorized with fake fruit and other objects found in stores or on the street.
In other words, it’s a giant tease. A creepy (but awesome) tease.

But look! A cake chandelier? Yum.

Jiggery Pokery (a.k.a. Anna Lomax and Lauren Davies) shows what to expect when art attacks.
Brilliant portfolio.
Samantha Magowan has some gorgeous and super interesting work (although quite a bit NSFW).
Mark A. Reigelman II re-decorates bus stops, turning average public transportation fixtures into a highly sought-after art installation.
Now that’s what I’d call street art.
Henrik Vibskov loves fringe almost as much as 1986 did.
And look! A human carwash!
Jeff sent over some yarnboming (which is apparently code for ‘knit graffiti’ and I’m not quite cool enough to know that) yesterday, and whoa. Cutest graffiti EVER.
