I’ve been researching Mexican saddle blankets at Cowan’s Auctions for a personal project, and gracious — few things are more interesting to me at the moment.
Of course, I’m throwing in some beaded hide leggings for good measure. You know. Just because.

I spotted Tatiana Berg’s work from No Smarties (which, alternatively, I spotted from Emily’s Twitter — let this be a lesson in social media, folks) and fell in love with this first piece of Tatiana’s.
I have to say, though, I totally didn’t see the monarch butterfly/tent thing going on at first. Instead, I thought it was a glorified prepubescent teen’s cheerleading megaphone.
And that, my friends, is why I’m thankful that tomorrow is Friday.

Typical show-stopping work from Brandi Strickland.
This girl can certainly deliver. She’s like the Kerri Strug of art. With a better voice, I’m sure.

Whoa. I’ve been having a really hard time picking my favorite piece from Heather Patterson’s portfolio. Good Lord, this stuff is seriously lava.
And by lava, I mean hot.

We really should talk about how awesome these prints from Doris Freigofas are. It’s like an Aztec area rug grabbed hold of a few helium balloons and floated up into it’s own space on the wall.
Or something.
And then, we should talk about her Flickrstream. Because there are some goodies hiding in there, indeed.

Beauty in the everyday, no? Rosa Pomar’s Flickr is full of lovely, mundane items. She also keeps a blog if you’re into that sort of thing. ;)

Boy, are veggies pretty when they want to be.

Attention, creatives. There is some serious inspiration to be unearthed in this photostream.
OK, now. Talk amongst yourselves.

Este Lewis creates patterns out of everyday objects. This one is Wildberry gum.
Even better? You can buy the wallpaper for $25/square foot. A hefty price for hefty inspiration.
