MYKIND: today’s outfit.

My friend Jess and I went shopping in Indy the other day, and I have this thing where I dress up to go shopping. I don’t know what it is, but it’s like I feel… disrespectful or something when I walk into a store without proper attire.*

So anyway, I decorated my blazer with copious amounts of brooches and called it a day.

(I took that picture above. I’m getting better, yes?)

*Except for Target. Target loves me for who I am, and sometimes I wear sweatpants there. It’s complicated.

mykind: today’s outfit.

Happy Saturday! I’m checking in to share my outfit because I’m completely impressed that I managed to decorate myself on a weekend. Husband and I garage saled today and came home empty-handed. Total record, as we are diggers, us two.

p.s. Those bamboo shades? In love. Bon Look sent them to me, and I am now recommending them all over the place. Go forth and shop.

Enjoy your weekend, friends — see you Monday!

the perfect tea towels.

With a wide variety of colorways and a dash of pattern, these Hay & Scholten & Baijings tea towels ($32) are skyrocketing to the top of my kitchen wish list.

the color red.

Red has always been my least favorite color, but Sergei’s making me change my tune. If you’re having a down day, take a few minutes to perus this photo collection. You’ll go up. I promise.
